[FR] Mermaid prend pour point de départ la figure mythologique de la sirène, être hybride à la frontière entre l’humain et l’animal. À travers la création d’un costume et d’une performance filmée, le projet explore les notions de métamorphose, d’incarnation et de mouvement.
En donnant corps à cette créature, la recherche s’intéresse à ce qui se joue dans les espaces intermédiaires : entre féminin et animalité, entre mémoire mythologique et réinterprétation contemporaine, entre identité et transformation.
[EN] Mermaid takes as its starting point the mythological figure of the siren, a hybrid being situated at the boundary between human and animal. Through the creation of a costume and a filmed performance, the project explores notions of metamorphosis, embodiment, and movement.
By giving form to this creature, the research investigates what takes place within in-between spaces: between femininity and animality, between mythological memory and contemporary reinterpretation, between identity and transformation.
